Here's a neat bronze goose that I walk across the street from, sometimes, on my other walking-to-work-route. It stands at the King's Hill and SW Salmon Station. The artist is Rip Caswell. I think it's neat that the yellow-colored photo on the MAX car resembles a wheat field--it might even be one, I cannot tell--so it looks like the goose is somewhere beside a city! Truth be told, quite a few geese hang out by the Willamette in Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Wonder if one modeled for Caswell?

Hi Lynette! Love this picture! I never would have thought about that being a wheat field until you mentioned it but it does resemble one.
Hope you have a nice weekend!
Interesting. Do you think the geese come to visit the bronze goose?
Lovely photo! Looks like the goose is waiting to board as well!!
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
That is so buccolic for public transportation!! Looks like you snapped that picture exactly at the right time to get that field behind that goose. Some subway cars here are decorated inside - the shuttle that runs between Grand Central and Times Square. It is for advertising purposes too. I have a few examples for you: car turned into a sauna here and here, into an exotic diving experience here or a promenade in the forest here. It was for a compaign for an hotel chain that wants you to associate the word "spa" with their brand.
I love that you walk to work. How long is your commute?
Lynette, the MAX stop looks amazing clean and spiffy.
The goose looked kinda big, isn't it? OR do geese grow to that size?
How long have they kept that poor goose waiting there? ;D
Have a lovely weekend!
I wouldn't have to cross the street to get away from this one--like I do the dumb domestic gueess that rule a corner in my neighborhood! Some day I will take another photo of them charging at me. Nice shot, great color and image of the "grey goose."
What is the MAX? A bus or the subway, or a tramway as we say?
Nice timing on your picture. You'll have to show us some of the other critters hanging around that neighborhood.
What is the MAX?
For those who have asked, here is what TriMet dot org has to say about the MAX: TriMet's MAX Light Rail system connects Portland, Gresham, Beaverton, Hillsboro and the Portland Airport. Trains run every 5-15 minutes roughly between 4:30 a.m. and midnight.
Also, about my commute, I have several options. I can catch one of four different buses at four close-by stops. Then I change downtown and catch one of two different buses to cross the river. I get off across the street from my building.
Or I can walk 1.22 miles down Everett and catch the second bus to cross the river on 3rd in Old Town China Town which is a smidge north of downtown.
Or I can walk as far as I want to one other route (I haven't been able to get it added up with the help of MapQuest) and catch one of three buses somewhere along the way or walk all the way to the place downtown to catch one of two buses to ride across the river.
Best of all, I do not have to drive the car, period.
The return trip is easy, too. Two buses maximum, and I can mix in as much walking as I like.
I'm blessed.
