Circumstantial Series
Last Thursday night when I took this photo while standing in front of our building, I had no plans for a series. Circumstances dictated that I stay indoors after I returned from the dentist Saturday afternoon, and you now see below the only two photos I've taken in three days. That's some sort of sad-sounding milestone, let me tell you.
The first photo (above) is the Manhattan Apartments, across from our front door. Below, in the second photo, you see the Rose Plaza Apartments, which are diagonally opposite our building. The third photo is of the Elizabeth Apartments which we see from either the kitchen or living room windows. I don't think they're too bad, do you? The little CoolPix L12 saves my sanity once again!
I never, ever dreamed I'd be living on a four-apartment intersection, with fantastic sidewalks and nearby mass transist. At the risk of boring you with my repetitiveness, I love Portland!
So, my gums are healing from having two teeth pulled; the infection in my jaw is so much better that my face is returning to its regular shape. Therefore, I'll be out and about, headed for work on Tuesday, my camera in a Zip-loc bag because real rain is forecast. Perhaps I'll get a great shot of it falling, just for y'all.

Your enthusiasm for Portland is wonderful and makes me want to visit!
See... I would have made three days with this!! ;)
Get well soon!!!
Hope you feel better.
Your neighbors use a lot of electricity. :-)
You may live in Portland but you haven't lost your southern roots(ya'll). Good for you!
The apartment buildings look nice all lite up like they are. I'm wondering if you lived in the country in Mississippi?
Glad you are feeling better!
Take it easy and I hope you fell better soon.
Hi Lynette, You live in a city's heartbeat, don't you! So much life coming and going all around you. These photos really capture that feeling of life.
Great shots of the neighbourhood! You sound like you really love your new home which is fantastic! Home is where your heart is!
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
Yes Ming is right...they sure DO use a lot of electricity!!! Shame that they are not that eco-friendly! Still good pics...thanks for visiting Toruń DP...do come again sometime!
I also noticed how much electricity your neighbors burn. Hopefully, they are using energy efficient compact fluorescent bulbs though the light seems way too bright.
I love apartment buildings, I'm a city rat! The more buildings and people the better. :) Hate cars, though...
I hope you get better soon.
Hope your recovering. Looks bright there with all the lights.
You confirm what I've heard about Portland! I should like to visit again.
