Earlier in October, when the D50 was at the camera hospital, I took this photo with that little CoolPix L12. It's the Orientale Motif Shop at 725 NW 23rd Ave., purveyors of jewelry, Oriental goods and foods. I don't have Photoshop, but I did set the camera to allow in more light. How about that electric blue sky?

The blue ball in my post yesterday keeps me from wanting to eat too much when I reflect on how I'd feel if I were so round and full and tight!

That color is fantastic. It's definitely a spooky photo.
The reason I asked about the email notification: this may not be your case, but I have the impression that most bloggers who have enabled the word verification on comments do it because they believe it stops spam and that's why they don't get any spam when, in reality, most blogs get little (one or two a week) or no spam at all.
Since I started my blog I got 3 spams, all of them sent by humans, not spambots, and since the letter code does not stop human spammers (who also have Blogger IDs, that's why the "this blog does not allow anonymous comments" is also useless), I would have gotten those spams even if I had enabled the word verification.
So, if you hate wasting time typing those letters in and having to retype them half the time because you can hardly recognize some of the letters, then please consider disabling the word verification.
Plus the email notification allows you to catch spam and delete it right away.
Please take this as a friendly suggestion. I love your blog and will continue to read it and comment with or without the bloody little letter code, but I wanted to tell you this just in case.

Same as in comments. You get a "comment" from someone whose ID doesn't ring a bell with a generic "you've got a great blog here" or similar followed by info and links to the spammer's site.
