Friday night entrées at 3 Doors Down Cafe

After a spectacular tour of The Allure of The Automobile, for free thanks to my having seen the Portland Art Museum's Facebook post about their Fourth Friday free tickets where I managed to score two for 5:30 p.m., my friend Sharon and I made our way to 3 Doors Down Cafe for dinner.

Sharon's entrée: sweet corn risotto with heirloom cherry tomato and basil salad.

My entrée, the special: linguini with prawns, heirloom tomatoes, shallots, smoked Nueske's bacon, basil. I like how the flash worked on the D5100. Do you?

We ate our fill and took the rest home in sweet little containers, all ready for Saturday.

I'm going with your linguini special.

Both look delicious, but I'd love the risotto...a favorite. Haven't had it with corn, but I think I'll try to make it today.

Just read your comments on my bridge post and certainly learned a lot about Portland bridges!!

Lynette, With all those bridges you mentioned on my blog, get out there and take some pictures for Louis LaVache's Sunday bridges meme!

I was reading your great description aloud (corn risotto) and my wife says; I can make that. I have corn and heirloom tomatoes (she's growing both in her garden). And yeah, the flash is hardly noticeable on that pasta/prawns dish. Both look incredible. Next time I get to Portland I'll have to eat there.
