Walk #7, neighborhood sidewalk surrounded by lush greens

OK, so it rains a lot here in Portland. But look what the rain brings us. Beauty in all shades of green, plus in the distance another flowering tree. I am blessed. And that's the tallest hedge I've ever been around, there on my left. Tall, well-trimmed, healthy hedge.

Our green already looks yellowish...

I have heard from many people about the beauty of Portland. We have a lot of rain in Florida, too, which is a good thing because it is so hot that without rain it would be a desert.

South Florida gets between 60-65 inches of rain a year! I think that's almost as much as Seattle. Fortunately, it doesn't rain all the time, but when it does, it pours!

We could use some of that rain down here right now!

There is a place near me that looks a lot like this. We also have plenty of rain in Connecticut. Not as much as you do, but enough to keep things green.

We got almost 11 inches of rain last month and set a record for this part of Ohio. Everything is growing green.
