Hot Rods & Customs at Cars in the Park, Saturday, August 20

DSC_0123p Let's start with this glorious 1951 Custom Chevy Pick Up. Here are the facts gleaned from the matching sign propped up against the back passenger tire (that's the sharp-looking shape you can see sticking out from the right side of the truck): Blown 355 C.I. Small Block Chevy, Richmond Super T10 4 Speed, Bustom Chassis, Heidt's Independent Front Suspension, Ford 9" 4 Bar Suspension, Fiberglass by Shaw's Fiberglass, Paint by Gary Crisp, Upholstery by Custom Upholstery, Design by Alan Shaw of Shaw's Fiberglass, and Custom Built by Randy's Rod & Custom. A wonderful couple owns this beauty. My enjoyment of it brought big smiles to their faces. DSC_0130p Brilliant flames everywhere. DSC_0125p DSC_0127p This has got to be one of my all-time favorite grills! DSC_0128 A close-up of the origin of the flames, a fire-breathing dragon who lives under the hood.
