Hydrangea, dinner blossoms

In our Northwest Hills neighborhood, a hydrangea bush about six feet tall stands beside a nearby house, robustly growing in a narrow dirt-filled garden space between the sidewalk and the house. When I walked by one morning, taking a different route to the bus for variety's sake, I stopped to take a few photos of the lovely blossoms.

Hey, who took a bite out of that flower?

Beautiful photos. When ever I see a hydrangea I think of my grandmother. She had several huge bushes of them in her front yard.

Gorgeous blossoms. I often take photos of other people's flowers or gardens as I'm passing by. I hope they don't think I'm some kind of nut case! lol

Lovely shades of blue in the delicate flowers. I have had no success EVER with hydrangeas.

I haven't had any luck with hydrangeas either. I think its too hot in the summer for them. Beautiful delicate color and blossoms.

Oh... so hydrangea is the name of the flower. Here, we call it Milflores. That's a lovely flower, and great shot you made!

I also joined ABC Wednesday! HERE is where you can see my "D" photo. Please drop by if you have some time. Thanks!

What beautiful, delicate blossoms! Huge hydrangeas are quite a joy to see in gardens!

The nice thing about these pictures is that they show somebody like the petals too. I noticed some bites out of them.

The color stands out as unusual. You always see reds and yellows and whites all over the internet, but the lavendar because it is unsual, jumps out at you.

Love the color of the hydrangea. Someone had a very good dinner judging from those blossoms :0)

God rest their souls, but these are shots that my parents would have really liked... We had a few hydrangeas growing in our yard when I was a kid -- they were just as beautiful as your shots...

Not only the flowers were delicate - so where the photos!

Thank you for the comment :-) !

I love Hydranga's and want to plant some around my gazebo....but my husband assures me that is not that correct spot for them! The young man in front of the dinosaur is my 25y/o son, btw! This is a great picture.

Hydrangeas are such showy flowers and yet delicate at the same time. You captured this beautifully!
