City Daily Photo Theme Day: June Theme Day - The beauty of decay

Click here for a trip to City Daily Photo, transporting you around the world every day.

I haven't yet figure out how to link this post directly to the others, by that I mean so that you can easily find other posts on today's theme. I think if you click on the link above, though, you'll come across lots of them.

Vintage Chevrolet 3200 pickup truck, seen on the street in Portland, Oregon. Decay has set in, rust and dents. Yet, this vehicle remains as beautiful and useful. Back to the Mother's Day Mini-Vacation tomorrow.

Amazing it is still running - the hubcaps are quite shiny.

Well perhaps gross :-) but so cool to photograph!

That truck is in need of some tender loving care...a great restoration project for what looks like a classic truck to me :).

Une décrépitude belle et mélancolique à la fois... et de beaux bleus !

HA, I have an old blue that lives in my neighborhood. It hasn't moved in years.

A little rubbing compound and paint would go a long way here . . .

I love to find old trucks and this one is a charmer! The blue has aged well. I once found a pre-1930s Dodge truck abandoned on a mountain trail in North Carolina... beautiful decay in your Chevy.

Excellent choice for theme day... I like the close ups especially!

This looks like it may be someone's weekend project. The hubcaps are a giveaway! There are lots of gents on the Olympic Peninsula who would be overjoyed to get their hands on an old beauty like this.

everything is fading on this truck except for the shiny brand! cool :)

and to be parked next to the mercedez, it can hold it own!

I like the way the blue of the trick is picked up all around the photo. The truck is a beauty!

Have to say, the 'aging' makes it looks 'antique'....:)

Beautiful car. I love the colours on the first photo, the blue set against the brick of the building.

I like how the rust and blue is picked up in the building! They just don't make them like they used to. I wonder if it has air conditioning though.

Still doing the job it was made for.
