Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers Outside the Rose Garden Arena

DSC_0543p
I got off the bus to walk to the STH door at the Rose Garden Arena on Monday night and heard drumming. I love drumming. And the Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers can really drum! Even in the cold.

What a strange name. I hope they are not literally the end of the line. But what's not to like about glowing red drums?

That is indeed a great shot. I'm one of the bass drummers for the LRSD -- we are indeed one of the only currently active syncopated drum corps, keeping the traditions alive that started in Long Beach, CA in the 1960s. We don't ALWAYS have lights in the drums, only for special occasions -- like playing for TrailBlazers fans! Do you have any more photos like this? We'd love to post this and others on our Facebook page, if possible! -Lyle, bass drummer/webmaster, LRSD

Lyle, it's great to have you visit my blog and find this photo! Thanks!

I think if you click on the actual photo that you will go to my Flickr page. You should then be able to navigate through the set in which these photos are placed.

I took quite a few at half time last night, too. Possibly over the weekend at least one of those will be on the blog. Then you should be able to click on it and see the rest of them.

If that doesn't work, post another comment, OK? We'll see if we can figure out another way to work this out.
