Part 5, our last fun day together, Sunday, August 28, 2011
With the help of both the Garmin and the iPhone, we made our way from Gaston to Portland and our destination, 3 Doors Down Café, SE 37th and Hawthorne. While we waited in the bar for Kailey and Leland to meet us, we noticed a sight I've seen before. I took these through a window. I think they're best friends. What do you think?

ABC Wednesday - D is for Delicate and Dinner
Hydrangea, delicate blossoms

Hydrangea, dinner blossoms

In our Northwest Hills neighborhood, a hydrangea bush about six feet tall stands beside a nearby house, robustly growing in a narrow dirt-filled garden space between the sidewalk and the house. When I walked by one morning, taking a different route to the bus for variety's sake, I stopped to take a few photos of the lovely blossoms.

Perfect Post-Thanksgiving Dinner Activity?
As I walked east on SW Salmon headed to work one recent morning, I spied this lady running on a treadmill--I think its an exercise room in a hotel. Seems like something lots of us who enjoyed sumptious Thanksgiving dinners might need to look into doing ourselves. Well, not me. I'll walk like always. I'm just not balanced enough for a treadmill.
