UPDATE and another sight I'd like to see again

UPDATE: Much the same, thank goodness. Eating by the clock because I have no feeling of being hungry no matter the time of day, but I know that I don't need to miss a meal. Nothing much tastes right, but I'm managing with what Lamont and Leland have bought for me lately at Fred Meyer. They're such helpful, caring guys. I am blessed. Also, thanks to each of you for your continued prayers, love, and concern.

Led by a dachshund on a leash, pedestrians cross West Burnside at SW Broadway, downtown on November 4, 2011. I waited half way up the block for a 12 or a 19 so that I could go home.

You know how it is. You take picture after picture, yet you know not what you've got. Until.

The look of love

082108_mama_duncan_1
Tuesday evening I looked up from the computer when Mama said, "Look where Duncan has his head now." The camera sat right beside the computer, so I quickly got this first photograph as Mama talked to the little ol' man. I can't tell you how many times he has looked up at her like this over the years, his sweet little head resting on her arm. I guess he heard the camera because he looked at me, so I asked Mama to look at me and smile.

Even with the dimness of available light making them not so clear and crisp, I just love these two photos.

A Snake Even I Could Love

No, I'm not one bit fond of snakes. Neither is my 81-year-old Mama--that's her in the background walking beside our almost 14-year-old miniature dachshund Duncan. I am glad this colorful serpent caught my eye, wrapped around the railing of an apartment house near our building. We enjoyed our walk home after dining outdoors at a nearby restaurant.
