This door sports the names of previous Portland Trail Blazers, seen at Player Palooza, Feb. 2, 2015

See Starkville, Mississippi's own Travis Outlaw's name on the door? Sweet to see him play here. I'm almost covering completely Joel Przybilla's name--one of my little Mama's favorites although she never could quite pronounce his name! We both liked Marcus Camby, too. Somewhere on the door is Mo Williams' name--a graduate of Murrah High School in Jackson, Mississippi, he played here last season. When I lived in Jackson, I was a high school teacher and librarian. Over the years, one of my favorite extra-curricular activities was keeping score for our boys' and girls' basketball teams, home games at the table, away games on the bench. In doing this, I witnessed lots of great games! And I got to see Mo play lots of shooting-the-lights-out high school ball whenever my school's teams played his or when our school hosted tournaments in our arena-style gym. At one of my season ticket holder perks last season, early entry to the arena to watch the Portland Trail Blazers warm up from right beside the court, I got to talk with him for a minute or two about those great days gone by. Neat-o!

Look where I got to go on St. Patrick's Day! Fourth Quarter

Going after it, Marcus Camby and six-foot-six inch Brandon Roy.

Marcus defends.

Time out. The Stunt Team. You have to wonder why the blonde in the middle is smiling. Well, not really. She's a professional. But keep looking and you'll see why I wondered.

DSC_0468p
See what I mean?

DSC_0469p
She's still going.

DSC_0470p
She lands! Another goes airborne!

DSC_0480p
Suffice it to say, the girl on the left went airborne. Both of them got caught. The girl in the middle got popped back up. And here you see the end result of all of that hard, hard work. Amazing.

DSC_0485pHere's the dismount, I suppose you call it. Amazing.

Camby gets the rebound!

Blazers win!

This wide shot gives you an idea of the distance between the court and the camera. Pretty good lens!

Look where I got to go on St. Patrick's Day! Third Quarter

DSC_0247p
Pre-second-quarter torture. That's six-foot-eleven-inch Marcus Camby continuing to be the human pretzel.

DSC_0279p
LaMarcus dunks!

DSC_0285
These white things make a lot more noise than you'd think they would. I wonder if they really distract the guy at the free throw line?

DSC_0304p
Gerald blocks the ball.

DSC_0311p
Nic goes around the Cavalier. He passed the ball a second later.

DSC_0321p
Six-foot-five-ince Wesley Matthews drives. Did he pass it to the ever-ready-and-waiting Andre Miller, there on the baseline? Or did he shoot? He shot, but that photo's too blurry. It didn't go in and stay in, drat it.

DSC_0338p
Gerald takes the charge for the Blazers. See him there on the far left?

DSC_0339p
Gerald went to the floor. How they do this and jump right up and keep on playing, I'll never understand.

DSC_0400p
Time out in the third quarter. Time for on-court entertainment! Break dancing, if I remember right.

Score at the end of the third quarter, Blazers 89, Cavaliers 45.
