I took these photos while seated on the sidewalk, at the curb, during the Riverfest: South Waterfront Day, the same day I took the photo of the girl and her pug, listening to saxophonist Devin Phillips and his Funk Band, posted on Sept. 22.

I love each shot. That dog looks like hes having a great time and the lady is getting her exercise in.

I loved the story told in your Poodle entry! May I have your permission to use one of the photos to illustrate this silly little poem on my blog?

Brenda alias Rinkly

Pompei the Poodle was crossing the street,
Attached, of course, to a lead.
'Thought Pompei 'Goody! There's a tree! Exactly what I need!
I'm bursting to cock my back leg and that tree will be just great!
And, while I'm about it, I'll have a sniff! It might lead me to a mate!'
But what was this? His mistress veered off towards the right!
Did you see a poodle with his legs crossed? That was Pompei alright!
