My brother flew into Portland to help with my move. His plane landed at Portland International Airport.

Here's the next plane he saw--the U DSP atop the HMS Uranus--a fine example of a quirky art car parked a block east of Killer Burger, just off NE Sandy Blvd., where Lamont and I took him for a hearty burger and fries lunch. All three of us got the Classic. Take a look at yesterday's post for a photo.

Whoa! What's that?

The bus is stopped at the Fred Meyer corner. Often the bus driver calls out, "Freddie's," to let folks know we're there--that's a neat nickname. Can you see the sticker in the lower left corner of the pickup truck's back window? It's my favorite sticker--the outline of Oregon with a green heart in the center.


Here's what I first saw through the 18's windshield. You can understand why I sort of squeaked, "Whoa! What's that?" Right?


One of these days maybe I'll get to see the side of that vehicle. I think it qualifies in many ways as an art car.
