Three more from Cars in Park, Hot Rods & Customs, Saturday, August 20
Milton and I walked along the streets, enjoying the cars. I went much more slowly, of course, because I can't resist taking one more photo after another. Kay enjoyed herself sitting in the sunshine on a park bench. She watched people, too, always a fun way to spend some time in Portland.
1919 Dodge Roadster, blown flathead Cadillac
1954 Buick Century Convertible
1939 Ford Coupe, built as a custom & race car in the '50's--on display beside the car, giant versions of a couple of magazine articles from 1953 and 1954, telling all about when this car ran at Bonneville Nationals, going 126.58 mph in 1953 and running 121.45 mph in 1954.
Clusters is the original owner's car club.
Thanks for dropping by the other day. I hope you're not offended if I say I'm not much of a car man, never driven one in my life!
ReplyDeletePortland must a collectors haven. What great cars.
