A primary color, blue, a variety of blues
Sky blue, behind Andrew Carson's kinetic sculpture, Galaxy. Seen at Stevenson, Washington, on Thursday, August 19, 2010. I took the day off from work, we got us a Zipcar, and went on a nice little tour of Highway 14 on the north side of the Columbia River Gorge, taking our California buds Pat and Danielle sightseeing. There's some blue glass on the sculpture, too, a deep, deep blue.
Steering wheel, dash and felt dice, 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne, seen at the Olympia Street Rod Association Car Show at the Lucky Eagle Casino, Rochester, Washington, August 14, 2010.
The back end of the 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne--a gorgeous blue. According to 1959 Classic Chevrolet on the World Wide Web, this is not one of the original body colors of that year.
I absolutely LOVE that sculpture! The colors are spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThat is an exceptional photo of the sculpture--I work down the street from there and see people taking photos of it all the time so it is great to see how one turned out!
ReplyDeleteThanks to both of you for your comments on the sculpture. Wish I could have taken a photo of the grin I had on my face when I pulled up to park and saw it spinning around!
ReplyDeleteI like that sculpture too but I love the car more. My parents had one when I was little.
ReplyDeleteOH! I see your blue team. I love vintage cars. We see those in NYC much.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely my kind of sculpture. Love it. Pretty neat car too!
ReplyDeleteYou did that on my birthday. How cool would it have been to have that chevy for your zipcar?
ReplyDeleteReally enjoy the eclectic sculpture. Look at those fins! Brings back memories! RE. your comment about collages. Download Picasa and follow directions. A piece of cake!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sleek and remarkable car! I love the color theme – blue! Even under the sun, it’s still a sight to see!
ReplyDeleteThat bodywork is outstanding! I agree with you, Simon. The color of the Chevy makes it look really cool even when it’s under the sun!
