Obviously this is a GMC pickup truck. Well, I guess it is, because to tell you the truth, with the amount of customization I noticed on some of the vehicles, anything goes! By the time I took this photo--the last of the car grills from the Cruise In at The Bomber--I had crossed the street to catch the return bus. Hot, sore feet, happy.

Well, the Studebakers are those funny looking cars, after the war, that looked the same in the back as they did in the front. The man and his wife who used to come and get us to take us someplace. Or they would come and we would ride with them -- they had new Studebakers. And they got so tired of people telling them they couldn't tell if they were coming or going, that Bob drilled a hole in the bullet nose of his new Studebaker and installed a nice wooden propeller. Mom asked what he did that as it would spin something frightful when driving down the road. Though it was small, and only about 6 inches across, you could hear it spinning.
He said he did it so people could tell which was the front end. The end with the propeller on was the front he would say.
These look pretty good for their age. Somebody had to take care of them.
The GMC truck looks good for its age too but didn't have the same pizazz.
I'm going to a classic car meet of sorts on Saturday, although it looks like it might be a rainy day. Hopefully I will be able to get a few photos like these.
