There was a tender tulip with a curl ...

DSC_0084p
I couldn't help but think of the poem below when I saw the curl of this tulip petal, a lovely sight in someone's front yard.

Found at The Poetry Foundation, online:

There was a little girl

BY HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW

There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
