Whoa! What's that?

Seen from the 18 on W. Burnside, on the way home from work, Friday, April 10, 2009.

The bus is stopped at the Fred Meyer corner. Often the bus driver calls out, "Freddie's," to let folks know we're there--that's a neat nickname. Can you see the sticker in the lower left corner of the pickup truck's back window? It's my favorite sticker--the outline of Oregon with a green heart in the center.

Here's what I first saw through the 18's windshield. You can understand why I sort of squeaked, "Whoa! What's that?" Right?

One of these days maybe I'll get to see the side of that vehicle. I think it qualifies in many ways as an art car.

  2. That is one original bus decal. I have seen some on the sides of buses here -- mostly advertisements.

  3. To clarify, the design is on a van, not the bus. The bus is stopped in front of the van, with at least one vehicle in between the two of them.

  4. So, it's some kind of bunny sculpture or something... fitting for this time year I guess.... but then the masks.... hmmmm.... maybe this car is doing some kind of advertising for some theatre or something? Curious art, for sure, and nicely spotted!
