Here are some of the photos that I quickly took at Thursday's rally. I later learned that the estimated attendance was 15,000--I imagine that was closer to 2 p.m. when the entire team came on stage. I was there for about 15 minutes starting around 12:20 p.m. I managed to get a few feet in front of the statue "Allow Me," in between two gracious teens, a couple guys enjoying the sunshine and the hoopla. The connection between us was instantaneous, Blazer fans that we are!
I love how this photo turned out! It's a guy's sign, as seen through the poster paper with the aid of the sun.
This is the SEI Academy Drumline--they sounded great! From SEI's Web site: Self Enhancement, Inc. is one of the nation's most comprehensive and successful youth development organizations. 90% of our students overcome significant barriers to success (poverty, family substance abuse, gang involvement, absent parents, low academic achievement, etc.) to become positive, contributing citizens.
For many, a popular part of every home game for the Blazers, the Blazer Dancers.
For me, the best part of my quick trip to the rally, team jerseys every where.
Here's the cheerleaders, too.
The crowd, as seen from the KGW helicopter.
You're a fan's fan, you are! This is a great tribute to your team.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots that capture the excitment. I am sitting here watching the Mavericks play and the feeling in Dallas this year is we made the playoffs, ho hum.

I like the way you're stalking jerseys. Serial jersey stalker!
