Mama and I went to see the beach at Lincoln City, Oregon, on Sept. 11. I had taken a mental health day off from work so we could enjoy a field trip of sorts, to play the penny machines at Spirit Mountain and to go see the beach, too.
Little did we know that we'd see this man with his parachute. I guess that's what you call it--it certainly looked like a parachute. In this photo, he's in a sitting position, heels digging into the sand as the wind swiftly pulls him along the beach. I felt some anxiety for his safety, but he certainly seemed to glory in the speed and power of the wind.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo! Lincoln City is amazing! This photo brings back great memories of visiting the beach with grandparents as a child.
ReplyDeleteStunning photo, Lynette! Really caught my eye from the portal.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture, I love the parachute and the bird. They look so close together. You like the penny machines huh? So do I, we are going in a week or so.
ReplyDeleteA scene like that will go a long way to restoring anybody's mental health.
ReplyDeleteI would call it a para sail but that may not be correct. I'm used to seeing them jump of cliffs or towed behind speedboats.
Nice shot! I haven't yet visited the Oregon's coast.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your notes Lynette. Sure, we can arrange a time to meet. Please email me to meead.saberi@gmail.com
Hope to see you :)
That's beautiful. I'd join him.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteA.
great shot! i love this, it looks like a nice afternoon setting!
ReplyDeleteWe saw a group every day, but they usually are on a surfboard or kiteboard as they are called, letting the wind pull them along.
ReplyDeleteActually it's a kite. A parafoil. Looks like he's having a bit of a struggle!
