In our Northwest Hills neighborhood, a hydrangea bush about six feet tall stands beside a nearby house, robustly growing in a narrow dirt-filled garden space between the sidewalk and the house. When I walked by one morning, taking a different route to the bus for variety's sake, I stopped to take a few photos of the lovely blossoms.

  2. Beautiful photos. When ever I see a hydrangea I think of my grandmother. She had several huge bushes of them in her front yard.

  3. Gorgeous blossoms. I often take photos of other people's flowers or gardens as I'm passing by. I hope they don't think I'm some kind of nut case! lol

  11. The color stands out as unusual. You always see reds and yellows and whites all over the internet, but the lavendar because it is unsual, jumps out at you.

  14. God rest their souls, but these are shots that my parents would have really liked... We had a few hydrangeas growing in our yard when I was a kid -- they were just as beautiful as your shots...
