ABC Wednesday - O is for oops, odds, over and out

Oops . . . TriMet's sign warns cyclists about the streetcar tracks on SW 11th Avenue.
oops
Odds . . . What are the odds that this fading blossom would land just so among the fern fronds?
odds
Over . . . Construction continues on the new light rail lines on SW 6th Avenue, leading to a pedestrian footbridge over the street.
over
Out . . . Daytime means the lights on the Made in Oregon sign are turned out.
out

Oh and there i was seeing the picture on the DP portal and thought it would say something about riding your bike under the influence!

Is that "oops" sign for real?

Never have I seen one of those before and there I thought Americans lacked a sense of humour - glad to have the sterotype shattered.

A nice collection of signs and among those the street car tracks and the faded flower are my favorites.

That's a great sign in the first photo ... it happened to me once and it took a year for my hand to heal.

Great series of photos!!

Yes, the oops sign is for real. I took it through the bus window one afternoon on the way home. The bus and the streetcar use the curb lane on the right side of the street, so sometimes we're stopped at a traffic signal right behind a streetcar. I find that fascinating, as I do when I'm driving beside a streetcar or the light rail MAX cars.

I like your O post. You could also have done "Old" Town on that bottom picture.

O! I love your unique and creative O's. There's so much of Portland I'd still like to see, usually I'm driving through in a hurry to get to Seattle from LA. Enjoy...

I am totally loving the guy falling off of the bicycle.

Very creative O's you find along your route to work/home. The Oops sign is my favorite. I guess people pay more attention to picture signs than words.

Hi!

You asked when you commented on my O post about my outdoor swimming pool, why I had 15% discount of the price of my season ticket for buying early.
The pools wants lots of people to sign up for the season pass early to get in funds for running the pool. Its so quiet early in the season, it runs @ a loss, as lots of locals don't go if the weather is cold or wet.
I go rain or shine so I buy early to start swimming early & lock into a cheaper pass, which is great.

Enjoy the rest of the week
