Look who I found among the daffodils!

flower_daffodils_chalk_pig
Ok, so she's no spring pig, but she has got to be the cutest chalk pig I have ever seen!

If she were mine, I'd trim that little branch from in front of her saucy face. But it could be that the people who live in her house on NW Everett only look at her in profile, from the yard side of the wrought iron fence.

You know, sometimes I have a comment in mind, then I see the one left before me, and I can't do anything but laugh!!

Nice photo ... take the pruning shears with you next time.

Guess what I found out earlier today and completely forgot until just now? Those lovely lavender flowers from yesterday are called pig squeak! Marsha, a friend at work told me all about it, and I found this online, too: This plant gets its common name, Pig Squeak, from the sound the leaf makes when rubbed between two fingers.

How coincidental is this? One day, it's Pig Squeak. The next day it's a sex-ay swine--thanks, WendyB!

Pig Squeak is the most delightful name ever! I'm in love with it. Now I need to find some to test out the sound FX!

So, did Miss Piggy eat the garden troll? Or is she pretending she is the garden troll? -:)

What a find! I want one in my yard for laughs. The Ms. Piggy look-a-like seems to have been out in the wild for quite some time.
