They're back ... autumn leaves and Volvo.

I'm walking south on NW 21st on last Thursday, towards West Burnside when I look up for a second, checking to see if the little white man is lit up in the crosswalk sign. I see these trees, and I forget all about the crosswalk. Regular viewers recognize the sign on the roof and the building as Jim Fisher Volvo. I guess regular time isn't all bad.

I can't help myself, y'all,
It's back to the leaves of fall.
I swear they're not just in my head.
I still see rust, gold, orange and red
Every which way on the street that I look,
So get ready for the photos that I took!

(Posting early--going over to my older son's for dinner.)

  3. I wished I knew the names of trees. To me the picture signifies autumn and with the two fir trees(?) in the foreground signaling the coming of the holidays.

  8. Fall is a beautiful time of year with bright colors. Then comes winter. But we always have the hope for spring to bring things back to life. Beautiful pictures.

  12. You keep posting your beautiful leaves. You're lucky to still have them on the trees. Ours are mostly gone now.

And I got the joke.. from your commenting of "Oh, I forgot to say that I'm glad you're standing on the ground to take this photo, Mari-Nanci!" -giggles-

But not to worry! I'll not hang out any windows to get a pic! I'd probably topple right out. Eeeek! :-)

  13. That's one thing I miss about not living in the north (as I did when I was in grade school).. the colors.

Nice photos. Thanks for the memories.

By the way... about my haircut.. I went to Sam @ Silva's Barbershop today... yup.. made the time.

Perhaps I'll try Diana someday... maybe when Sam retires.

  16. These are two pretty red trees. They really pop on the blue facade. Now your mission is to back there tonight and cut down those two interfering conifers.
