ABC Wednesday – R is for the Three Rs, and then some.
We RODE the #4 bus from the office to the bus stop at the corner of SW 4th and Taylor, downtown Portland.
We entered RITZ Camera, the little shop on the corner, with one thing in mind, to take a photograph.
We asked Mr. ROMANO, helpful and RELIABLE store manager, if he would pose with Flat Stanley. "Of course," replied Mr. ROMANO, placing Flat Stanley and his Vespa on the counter in front of the Nikon display. Mr. ROMANO posed in his best trustworthy mode.
When I took the non-functioning D50 to RITZ, Mr. ROMANO discovered that it could not be REPAIRED in the store. So, Mr. ROMANO took RESPONSIBLITY for sending the D50 off to the camera hospital in September. About a month later the D50 came back home to Mama, meaning me, RIGHT as RAIN.
"RIGHT on!," hollered Flat Stanley from his perch on the display counter. He knew that without the D50, some of our photo opportunities would not have been REALIZED. Off camera, Mr. ROMANO smiled. So did I. All's RIGHT with the world.
A right rousing round-up of R's. :o)
ReplyDelete:) You went the extra mile - I thought you'd settle for Ritz. Good for you. Greetings to Mr. Stanley
ReplyDeleteI think that lot deserves a round of applause.
ReplyDeleteMr Romano looks very relaible! Wondered what other people thought as they saw him pose next to Flat Stanley? LOL! Oh the world of blogging eh? It helps if we are all slightly creative, nay mad! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to see crowded streets after dark. Of course here it seems like it gets dark right after noon.
ReplyDeleteLynette, you are so funny! Hip hip hooray for Mr. Romano! And also for Lynette and Flat Stanley!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I love night shots! Especially at the Holiday time of year, when there are so many pretty light decorations. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving,
Mari-Nanci
Mr. Romano does not look as happy as Flat Stanley. If I had a chance to pose beside Flat Stanley I would be so proud and show a big smile.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and all.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Love your "R"'s!!What a great Flat Stanley photo at the photo store!!
ReplyDeleteGood to see Stan. :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great ABC post.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people don't like Ritz Camera but my local one is a great store (there are actually 2 other Ritzs in the area and they are not as good). My 'Ritz' lets me go in the back to help with editing and printing my pictures. I have been getting some great results this way.
I heart Mr. Romano!
ReplyDeleteLots of R's this week for you. It sounds like Flat Stanley is becoming a little Rowdy for hollering. I think it's because of his Rising celebrity status. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is QUALITY SERVICE. I don't think any of the big chain stores will do that if you had a broken camera.
ReplyDeleteLOL! What a RIOT! We have a Ritz that looks just like this! :-D
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone who has enjoyed this post--Mr. Romano got a kick out of it when I told him the address so that he could take a look. I did want to point out that when I purchased the D50, I also bought a two-year service policy which enabled Mr. Romano to ship it off and me not to feel a financial pinch.
ReplyDeleteFlat Stan looks cute enough, but that Vespa is lovely. By the way, we still have such Vespa's on the roads in Mumbai, India. Not much biking in Kuwait, though.
