In and around Portland, it's been raining, it's been blowing ... off and on for days. That happens this time of year, with welcome sun breaks now and then.
Still and all, beautiful sights await my camera and me. I couldn't believe that at the moment I decided to push up one of the windows in Mama's bedroom and take a few photos of the trees across the street, there walked two women in perfectly colored raincoats--more street-level accessories for our autumn leaves. Oh, I didn't lean out to take the photo this time because I wanted to stay dry!
Ey, my kind of photo! I guess fall's definitely here. I may start posting autumny pix soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo.

Oh, what a beautiful tree! And you get to see those gorgeous leaves every day, that's so nice. A magical sight at dawn and dusk, isn't it? And the street accessories, yes, I remember the other photo from the window and the cars... What are the odds?! :D
ReplyDeleteHave you made a wreath with red and yellow maple leaves yet? I made one a few years ago. Very beautiful (and very time consuming!).
A lovely Sunday to you, the Mom and the pooch.
Lovely red and orange colors on the tree, and the raincoats. Couldn't of planned for that, if you'd of tried. You peeked out the window at just the right moment.
ReplyDeleteAnd those leaves sprinkled around on the pavement, they look just right there.
ReplyDeleteLove this view!
ReplyDelete(PS) The beach was near Garibaldi, just north of Tillamook.
What a pretty picture! I still say you have the most colorful leaves I've seen. I'm glad you didn't lean out the window again. lol
ReplyDeleteI know you probably miss Mississippi a lot, so I'm going to tell you that you probably wouldn't see colors like that on the trees in the South this year! The drought (and horrible other weather) has played havoc with autumn colors. . . .
ReplyDeleteBy the way. . .I read your facts. . .I used to teach English, too. You lasted longer than I did, though!
Beautiful picture! These women give a perfect accent to the photo indeed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Love all of it, the color of the tree and the leaves on the ground.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture and fantastic colors! And you are quite lucky with your "street accesory" again. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat colors, the tree and the raincoats.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular photo!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm very happy you didn't really lean out! Come now! That looks as if it would be a mean drop! Eeeeek!
Please don't tell me we have to go that far, for our photography?!? ,-)

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
Hi this is indeed a wonderfull and pretty tree, Ilove the autumn colours , like gold, red and yellow, they make the streets look 'cosy' like a carpet or wallpaper....
ReplyDelete:) Missing you & your blog,
I am back from my short trip to South of Italy, thanks for 'not forgetting me' I posted an overview of pictures from my holiday , soon more... Have a great sunday!!!
Greetings JoAnn:)
The fall in the US is "incomparable." The ladies on the pavement seem to be cold.
ReplyDeleteMy word, that is just SPEC-tacular! The weather here in Oz is very hot at the moment ....
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the iris picture and I certainly didn't know it was the basis for the fleur de lis.
Thank you...so much to look at in this picture...I am loving all the autumn colours in blogs at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLynette, there is one thing that kept me from being able to make a link in the middle of a post. You copy an address and paste it in but before you paste it delete the little http:// that is already in the slot. I hope that makes sense. If you don't then when you copy you put it in there twice. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll go thru it step by step like someone did with me.
ReplyDeleteNeat-o. The rain jackets "match" the tree!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love it when you catch something like this with your camera? I love blogging!! It really is changing my life as well!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Just gorgeous photo, Lynette.
ReplyDeleteI am enchanted! Your Mom have a wonderful view!
