A Snake Even I Could Love

No, I'm not one bit fond of snakes. Neither is my 81-year-old Mama--that's her in the background walking beside our almost 14-year-old miniature dachshund Duncan. I am glad this colorful serpent caught my eye, wrapped around the railing of an apartment house near our building. We enjoyed our walk home after dining outdoors at a nearby restaurant.

  2. Hello, Lynette! Welcome to the daily photo blog world. I checked out your other two blogs, nice work and gorgeous tomatoes! :)

Looking forward to seeing Portland through your eyes.

    Cheers from Boston!

  3. Fenix, thanks for the welcome. I big-time thrilled to have the chance to show off Portland. I love this city. My biggest problem will be limited myself to one photo a day because I rarely take just one, sort of like that old potato chip commercial.

I'm glad you looked at my other two blogs. While I've used Mama & Me from PDX as a means to keep in touch with family and friends, Curly Gee's Pix is a work-in-progress.

It'll be fun to see Boston with you. Thanks.

  4. Chandlermom, I have two sons, grown men now. Their creativity knew/knows no bounds--sounds like your son's the same way.

  5. Rambling Round, here's another thing that's neat about this snake--no children live in the apartment house, just adults. I like that!

  6. I just read my comment. Good grief. It sounds like I don't like children which is extremely far from the truth. I meant that it tickled me that adult(s) decided to do something this whimsical with the snake.

  7. For a brief [very brief] moment I thought the snake was the dachsund until I realised that was up the street and spotted it.

[PS interval is indeed is what you call an intermission]

  9. I love so much street's photos who show to us scenes of the everyday.
Specially I like to see your Mama in the background walking Duncan.
    Have a good Sunday!
