37th Annual Ross Hollywood Veterans Day Parade
Periodically this motorcyclist walked out to a parade participant or vehicle, paused at attention and/or saluted the veterans. Brought a tear to my eye and a catch in my breath every single time he did it. Brought a smile to every single person he saluted. I felt very good to see such respect in action.
He always made sure there was a stoppage in the parade's motion before approaching a vehicle.

That is an awesome shot... and your story brought a tear to my eye. My father was a WWII vet, and at parades he always stood an saluted at the passing of the flag.
Looks like a bunch of grizzled old vets, too. I know, 'cause I'm a grizzled old vet!
That first shot: Is that guy on the right wearing a uniform from Revolutionary days? He doesn't look a bit over 175!
Love the reflections in the bumper of the truck, too.
I have enjoyed all your Veteran Day posts and pics. Glad you were out and about to celebrate this solemn but thankful day to Honor each and every person that has worn the uniform.
The man's military service must have been a source of deep, continuing pride in him. Nice images and even nicer story.
Lynette, you blew me away with the results of your art research. I am impressed that you were able to identify the art on my blog yesterday just from the photos. I suppose if I had thought about it some, I might have found one or two, but you were successful in finding all of them. WOW! I hope you enjoyed the search.
I love that old jeep!
