Of all those that disappeared in a blink, the loss of this particular image haunted me the most. How would I ever come upon such pure serendipity again?
A discarded newspaper insert, resting on the dry sidewalk, its cover rising just so far with the gentle breeze as I snapped the third time, a photographer with camera in hand's dream come true!
Now I have my own personalized meaning for that old saw, "The third time's the charm."
