I love rhodos. The first time I discovered them, we'd just moved to Victoria, BC, right on New Years Day. A few days after we moved, I was walking around downtown and was amazed to find these bushes that were actually budding. In January! I just had to find out what they were. I've been in love with them ever since.
the Rhododendron is West Virginia's state flower and I have never had any luck having it grow here in Chicagoland as the winters are too cold. This is lovely! Mine ishere As well as here

I thought of doing rhododendrons but i'm so glad I didn't as my photo would have looked pathetic next to your amazing shots!
A very welcome return. This are spectacular close ups.
I have a lost flower that needs a proper name on my blog today.
But as colorful as it is, it doesn't compare with the beauty here on your blog. Nice photography.

These are indeed lovely flowers. I was never able to grow them here for some reason. They always die.
